At 12:01 p.m. today (July 6), the Chinese military successfully launched one submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) equipped with a dummy warhead into the high seas of the Pacific Ocean.

Although specifications were not disclosed, it is highly likely to be the Julang-3, China's latest third-generation SLBM.

The Julang-3 has a range of over 10,000 kilometers, allowing it to strike most parts of the globe, including the U.S. mainland.

While the Chinese Ministry of National Defense stated that it was a routine drill, countries including Australia and Japan strongly protested, noting that they were notified of the launch plan only a few hours in advance.
