Rain is falling intermittently across the region.

Currently, very heavy rain of around 25mm per hour is concentrated in inland areas of Gangwon Province, including Hongcheon.

Up to 60mm of rain is expected to continue in the central regions through today (July 6). Between tomorrow and the day after, heavy rain of over 100mm is forecasted for northern Gyeonggi Province and the northern inland areas of Gangwon Province.

However, there will be frequent lulls in the rain in most areas today, and mainly in the southern regions tomorrow.

Heatwave advisories have been expanded today, with daytime temperatures in Jeju soaring to nearly 34°C (93°F).

Tomorrow morning, the temperature in Seoul will be 24°C (75°F), with the perceived temperature reaching around 27°C (81°F) due to high humidity. Daytime highs will reach 30°C (86°F) in Seoul and 33°C (91°F) in Daegu.
