A fire broke out in the basement of a multi-unit housing complex in Sanseong-dong, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, at approximately 2:30 p.m. today (July 5).

The blaze left two residents injured, including a man in his 70s who sustained serious injuries, while five others were evacuated.

Authorities have determined that the unit where the fire started was unoccupied at the time.

Police and fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
