A fire broke out at a pig farm in Gosan-myeon, Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk, at approximately 3:00 p.m. today (July 4).

The fire authorities dispatched 24 pieces of equipment and 66 personnel to the scene, successfully extinguishing the blaze in about 55 minutes.

The fire damaged a portion of the 771-square-meter facility and resulted in the death of over 70 pigs.

Police and fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and the total extent of the property damage.
