Samsung Lions right-handed pitcher Yang Chang-seop will replace Jang Chan-hee in the professional baseball All-Star Game.
The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced today that Yang has been named as a replacement after Jang withdrew from the All-Star roster due to an injury.
Rookie Jang Chan-hee was originally scheduled to participate in the All-Star Game as a manager's pick.
Jang, who has recorded 4 wins, 4 losses, and a 4.58 ERA in 18 appearances as both a starter and a reliever in his debut season this year, was recently removed from the first-team roster after being diagnosed with swelling in his right elbow flexor muscle.
The All-Star Game will be held on July 11 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.
