At approximately 4:50 a.m. today (July 4), a three-vehicle collision involving a Rexton SUV, an 8.5-ton truck, and a 1-ton truck occurred near the 232 km mark (from Incheon) on the Yeongdong Expressway in the direction of Gangneung, near the Gangneung Junction (JC) in Sagimak-ri, Sacheon-myeon, Gangneung, Gangwon Province.

The accident resulted in the deaths of two men, one in his 30s and the other in his 60s.

The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident based on witness statements and CCTV footage.
