A fire of unknown origin broke out at a container home in Ohyang-ri, Gamgok-myeon, Eumseong-gun, North Chungcheong Province, at approximately 5:50 a.m. today (July 4).

The fire left two foreign nationals from Pakistan, both in their 30s, who were living in the container, with first- and second-degree burns on their arms and thighs. They are currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

The blaze was extinguished around 6:30 a.m. after destroying one prefabricated housing unit (90 square meters) and various household belongings.

Police and fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the property damage.
