An alleyway near Nonhyeon Station in Seocho-gu, Seoul, earlier today.

A white sedan is seen rolling down a ramp as if it were reversing, and a man nearby rushes to get into the driver's seat.

However, the car accelerates instead and crashes directly into a sandwich shop next to it.

[Witness: There was no one in the driver's seat, but the car suddenly started rolling, so he rushed to open the door. The car swerved sharply and there was a loud bang. I was walking in front of it, and I heard people screaming.]

The sudden crash turned the shop into chaos in an instant, and a female customer in her 30s who was inside the store suffered serious injuries, including a broken leg.

Four other customers were also injured and taken to the hospital, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The accident was caused by a parking attendant in his 70s, who said he confused the pedals while trying to move a customer's vehicle to another parking spot.

[Parking Attendant: I confused the accelerator and the brake and kept pressing them interchangeably. I panicked because I didn't know which one was the brake, and that's how it happened.]

The impact of the crash shattered the windows, scattering debris everywhere and requiring a significant amount of time for cleanup.

The police have determined that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
