A fire broke out on a 5-ton ladder truck on the Incheon Bridge, heading toward Songdo in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, at around 12:30 p.m. today (July 3).

There were no casualties, but the rear of the truck was damaged, and black smoke billowed into the air for a time.

The fire authorities deployed 15 pieces of equipment and 45 firefighters to the scene, fully extinguishing the blaze 25 minutes after receiving the report.

Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire based on the driver's statement that the vehicle "stopped on the shoulder after a rear tire on the passenger side burst."
