A 6.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in the waters 189 km west of Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, at 1:05 p.m. today (July 3, Korea Standard Time), the Korea Meteorological Administration reported, citing foreign observation agencies.

The epicenter is located at 26.00 degrees north latitude and 125.80 degrees east longitude.
