The Gyeonggi Provincial Government appointed former Seoul City Council member Kim Jae-hyung as the Chief of Staff to Governor Choo Mi-ae on July 1.
The new Chief of Staff previously served as an aide to Governor Choo during her time as a National Assembly member representing the Gwangjin-gu B district in Seoul, and also served as a special political advisor to presidential candidate Moon Jae-in.
The position of Chief of Staff is equivalent to a Grade 4 special service official and oversees all operations of the Governor's office.
