Jacob Mizerowski (Milwaukee Brewers), who is leading the power pitching craze in Major League Baseball (MLB) this year, is unlikely to take the mound at the All-Star Game, the "Midsummer Classic."

The reason is his regular season pitching schedule.

According to the Associated Press on Friday (July 3), the Milwaukee organization plans to start Mizerowski in games against the St. Louis Cardinals on July 8 and the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 13.

The All-Star Game is scheduled to be held on July 15 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Even if Mizerowski is selected as an All-Star, it would be difficult for him to take the mound again just two days after his final start of the first half of the regular season.

"We are a team preparing for postseason baseball, not just the present," Mizerowski said, accepting the reality. "I want to pitch in the All-Star Game, but given the situation, it is unavoidable."

Mizerowski, who debuted in the big leagues last year, drew attention for his high-velocity pitches and sparked controversy by being selected as an All-Star after only five career starts.

This year, he has completely silenced the debate with his performance.

Mizerowski is currently serving as the team's ace, ranking first in the National League in ERA (1.47), first in strikeouts (156), and tied for fifth in wins (9).

Milwaukee is currently leading the Central Division.

Mizerowski is finding success with a fastball that reaches a top speed of 169.8 km/h (105.5 mph) and averages 160 km/h (99.4 mph).
