Singer Lee Ji-hye shed tears as she expressed her gratitude to Baek Ji-young and Yuri of the group Cool, who stood by her side during difficult times.

In content released on Lee Ji-hye's YouTube channel, Mibji Aneun Gwanjong Unnie (The Not-So-Hateful Attention Seeker), on July 2, Yuri, who resides in the United States, visited Korea for the first time in seven years. She joined her close friend Baek Ji-young at Lee Ji-hye's home to celebrate their long-standing friendship.

The three reflected on their time together 20 years ago and the bond they shared. Yuri said, "We have a history together. We went through hard times side by side. We really relied on each other. We were all young and faced our own struggles, which brought us closer together."

The trio also spoke candidly about their past popularity. Yuri recalled their youthful days in their 20s, saying, "We weren't exactly pretty, but we had kind personalities. We each had our own distinct charms." Lee Ji-hye remarked, "Yuri was the most popular one. I was second." Yuri then jokingly added, "Since I am married, my husband is my first love and my last love," bringing laughter to the group.

When asked who was the most popular, Baek Ji-young replied, "In terms of quantity, Ji-hye had the most, while Yuri and I had a dedicated fanbase." She then trailed off, adding, "I can't quite remember who those people were."

Toward the end of the video, a heartfelt confession followed. Lee Ji-hye expressed her regret, saying, "You two gave me so many luxury gifts, but I never properly returned the favor." She continued, "When my youth was difficult and depressing, you would call me out to karaoke bars to hang out and help me endure. I hope you both stay healthy for a long, long time," eventually tearing up.

Hearing this, Baek Ji-young warmly comforted Lee Ji-hye, saying, "Focus on raising your child and saving money for now; you can pay us back later. Just earn a lot of money in the future and treat us then."
