The KOSPI opened higher today (July 3) and is trading in the 2,700 range in early morning hours.

The KOSPI started the session at 2,739.75, up 91.66 points, or 1.20 percent, from the previous trading day.

The index had fallen to the 2,600 range yesterday after a 7.89 percent plunge driven by a sharp decline in major semiconductor stocks, but it recovered the 2,700 mark with today's upward trend.
