Around 9 a.m. on July 2, an unidentified man, estimated to be in his 40s or 50s, was found dead at Hanjaemit Beach in Geundeok-myeon, Samcheok, Gangwon Province.

According to the Donghae Coast Guard, authorities were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report stating that "a person is on the sand," and subsequently recovered the body.

The Coast Guard is currently investigating the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
