The race for the professional baseball home run title is heating up. Yesterday, KIA’s Kim Do-young hit two home runs, surpassing LG’s Austin to reclaim the sole lead.

In the first inning of the home game against SSG, Kim Do-young connected on a mistake pitch down the middle from opposing starter Kim Gun-woo, launching a massive solo shot over the left-center field wall for his 24th home run of the season.
The 130-meter blast marked his achievement of hitting a home run against every team in the league this season, the third player to do so.
After hitting an RBI single in the third inning, Kim struck again in the fourth.
He sent another ball over the wall.
He pulled a first-pitch fastball on the outside corner, sending it over the left-center field fence for his 25th solo home run of the season.
Recording his fourth multi-homer game of the season, Kim Do-young moved one ahead of LG’s Austin to reclaim the sole lead in home runs.
KIA’s Kim Sun-bin, who recorded two hits, surpassed Lee Jong-beom to become the franchise leader in hits for the Tigers. KIA starter Oller pitched a gem, striking out 10 batters through six innings while allowing only five hits and no runs, earning his 9th win of the season to take the sole lead in wins. He also maintained his lead in ERA, lowering it to 2.36.
With a 10-3 victory, fourth-place KIA narrowed the gap with third-place KT to one and a half games.
