A woman points her finger at a police officer and rushes toward them.
[(Why are you doing this? Why.) Report it! Go ahead and report it!]
She then spits at the officer.
[Let's go to the police station. Go to the station. Ptooey. Ptooey. Ptooey.]
On June 23, the woman in her 40s, who spat at and cursed at police officers during the protest blocking the Jamsil vote-counting station, was referred to the prosecution while under arrest.
She is also accused of filming officers on-site while claiming she wanted to "verify if they were real Korean police" and hurling insults at the officers' families.
This is the first case related to the vote-counting station blockade protest to be referred to the prosecution.
Police have also requested arrest warrants for two men in their 20s who allegedly assaulted officers on June 5, when ballot boxes were being transported to the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium.
They are accused of grabbing the arms of police officers and dragging them around, claiming that election commission staff were disguised as police and trying to flee. Police have also booked and investigated a woman in her 20s suspected of spreading false information by filming the incident and sharing it on social media.
Additionally, police are considering applying charges under the Act on the Safety Management of Guns, Explosives, etc., to a man in his 20s who brought a practice grenade to the protest site.
Investigations revealed that the man found the practice grenade in a trash dump during his military service and kept it after his discharge in April. He recently joined the protest as a volunteer and lost the item.
Following the summons and investigation of a man in his 30s on Monday, June 29, for obstruction of business after he blocked sports organization staff from entering the handball gymnasium on June 16, police plan to summon and investigate a woman in her 30s as well. She is known as "Ol-darc" for allegedly blocking the entrance alone by holding onto the gymnasium door handle.
