Police have begun summoning and questioning protesters accused of blocking officials from a sports organization from entering a workspace inside the Handball Gymnasium at the site of a protest that blockaded a vote-counting station in Jamsil.
The Seoul Songpa Police Station announced today that it summoned and questioned a man in his 30s, identified as A, yesterday (June 29) on charges of obstruction of business.
A is accused of blocking the entrance of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) affiliates at the 2-1 exit on the 16th, when they were scheduled to enter the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium.
It is reported that police questioned A yesterday by presenting video evidence captured at the time of the incident and asking for the reasons behind blocking the entrance.
In response, A reportedly stated that he was in the process of "persuading other protesters to allow the sports association to enter."
The police also plan to summon and question a woman in her 30s, identified as B, who is known as "Ol-darc" for allegedly holding the door handle to block the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee's entry.
