Previously, Minister of Health and Welfare Jeong Eun-kyeong mentioned the expansion of health insurance benefits for hair loss treatment as a key task for the second half of this year. However, concerns had been raised, primarily by patient groups and the medical community, regarding the priority of such coverage compared to severe illnesses and the potential strain on health insurance finances.
