A passenger in his 60s has been apprehended by police after repeatedly assaulting a taxi driver while intoxicated.

The Seoul Yangcheon Police Station announced that it is investigating a man in his 60s, identified as A, who was arrested in the act for assaulting a taxi driver in his 70s while the driver was operating his vehicle in Sinwol-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, at approximately 9:00 p.m. yesterday (June 28).

It was determined that A, who was under the influence of alcohol at the time, struck the taxi driver in the head with his fist multiple times.

The police plan to request an arrest warrant for A.
