The Netflix series Notes from the Last Row has entered the Top 10 in 32 countries worldwide just three days after its release, according to FlixPatrol.

Since its release on the 26th, Notes from the Last Row has been garnering significant attention from viewers and media outlets both in Korea and abroad.

Major media outlets have poured out positive reviews regarding the actors' passionate performances and the intriguing plot. Leisure Byte noted, "A drama filled with psychological games and subtle tension. The chemistry between Choi Minsik and Choi Hyun-wook drives the flow of the story, and the restrained visual aesthetics effectively convey the anxiety of the narrative." The South China Morning Post praised the show, stating it "boasts an innovative storytelling method." Global viewers have also shared their acclaim through online communities and social media, commenting on the "restrained and meticulous direction and music," noting that "the appearance of many seasoned actors makes almost every character convincing and realistic," and observing that "it intentionally leaves ambiguity, perfectly showcasing the core themes of the drama."

Notes from the Last Row is a suspense drama that depicts the story of Heo Moon-oh (played by Choi Minsik), a failed writer and professor of Korean literature, who discovers the genius of a boy named Lee Kang (played by Choi Hyun-wook) sitting in the last row of his lecture hall and becomes obsessed with his writing. The drama is gaining word-of-mouth popularity for its compelling development, sensible direction, and impactful endings in every episode, as well as the stellar performances of a cast that includes Choi Minsik, Choi Hyun-wook, Heo Joon-ho, Kim Yoon-jin, and Jin Kyung.

In particular, there is much praise for the explosive acting chemistry between veteran actor Choi Minsik and rising star Choi Hyun-wook. With his deep acting prowess, Choi Minsik portrays Heo Moon-oh—a man burdened by long-standing feelings of inferiority—as he becomes obsessed with Lee Kang's writing, gets swayed by it, and spirals uncontrollably toward ruin, powerfully drawing viewers into the work.

Choi Hyun-wook, who acts alongside Choi Minsik, also perfectly embodies the unique, enigmatic nature of Lee Kang and the emotions hidden beneath the surface with his signature unparalleled gaze and stable vocal tone, showcasing an irreplaceable presence through the tight tension between the two characters.

In fact, during the press conference held before the show's release, the two actors expressed their anticipation for their perfect chemistry, with Choi Minsik stating, "I couldn't think of any other actor besides Choi Hyun-wook for the character of Lee Kang," and Choi Hyun-wook remarking, "The senior actor's tiger-like energy was overwhelming."

Notes from the Last Row is available to stream on Netflix.
