A moment of road rage has led to a terrifying situation on the road.

A man is seen pounding on a black SUV before ripping off the side mirror and throwing it at the window.

When the SUV driver attempts to turn the vehicle and leave the scene, the man even hangs onto the side of the car, gripping the open passenger-side window.

This scene was captured in San Francisco, United States.

Bystanders can be heard shouting to call the police immediately, and the vehicle disappeared from sight after turning into an alleyway with the man still clinging to it.

Police, who were dispatched after receiving reports, arrested a man in his 40s in connection with this incident on charges including property damage and intimidation.

It is presumed that the incident was sparked by a minor traffic accident.
