Kim Do-young, who sang the national anthem vigorously from start to finish before the game, swung his bat with equal intensity.
With the team leading 2-0 in the sixth inning, he connected on a high fastball from Doosan starter Choi Seung-yong, sending it over the left-field fence like a bullet for his 23rd two-run homer of the season.
Following that, KIA scored seven runs in the sixth inning alone, aided by a three-RBI double from Kim Ho-ryeong, and routed Doosan 12-1 to break a two-game losing skid.

Second-place Samsung swept their three-game weekend series against third-place KT, extending their winning streak to four games and narrowing the gap with league leader LG to two and a half games.
Trailing by one run in the sixth, Koo Ja-wook turned the game around with a two-RBI double. Veteran Choi Hyung-woo, 42, who had been quiet with his home run bat throughout June, then launched his ninth two-run homer of the season to secure a 7-4 victory.

Hanwha’s Ryu Hyun-jin, who had failed to reach his ninth win of the season in his previous two starts despite pitching six innings of two-run ball due to a lack of bullpen and offensive support, once again held the SSG lineup to one run over six innings yesterday (June 28). He left the mound with the win in sight.
However, in the eighth inning with a 3-1 lead, the third pitcher, Lee Sang-kyu, surrendered a game-tying two-run homer to SSG’s Kim Jae-hwan, once again denying Ryu his ninth win.
Immediately after Ryu’s win was erased, Hanwha’s Peraza hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the top of the ninth, his 17th of the season, leading the team to their third consecutive victory and a return to a .500 winning percentage.
