People Power Party Representative Jang Dong-hyuk emphasized that during his tenure as party leader, he would achieve a special counsel investigation into the National Election Commission regarding the ballot shortage incident, as well as the subsequent re-election.
On his social media late yesterday (June 28), Representative Jang wrote, "Securing a special counsel and achieving a re-election is the mission given to me," adding, "That is the only way for politics to respond to the roar of the public square."
Representative Jang, who also visited Olympic Park yesterday, claimed, "It has been nearly a month, but the roar has not subsided at all," and added, "As time goes by, the resolve of the citizens is becoming even firmer."
He continued, "Citizens, please fight with me. Let us protect liberal democracy together. We will surely win."
Since the June 3 local elections, Representative Jang has been visiting Olympic Park, dismissing calls for his resignation and consistently demanding a special counsel investigation into the National Election Commission and a re-election.
