A fire broke out in a bamboo forest in Gwangju and was extinguished in about 30 minutes.

At approximately 6:50 p.m. yesterday (June 28), a report was received from a resident stating that a fire had started in a bamboo forest in Songdae-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.

Authorities stated that they deployed about 50 personnel and around 10 pieces of equipment to extinguish the fire by 7:20 p.m., with no casualties reported.

The fire department is currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
