A fire broke out at a laboratory at Hanyang University in Seoul, leaving one person injured.

The fire was reported at a laboratory in the College of Natural Sciences at Hanyang University in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, at approximately 5:30 p.m. today (June 28).

Fire authorities deployed about 70 personnel and extinguished the blaze in about an hour and a half.

One person affiliated with the laboratory sustained burns to the face and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire, suspecting it started during the process of cleaning bottles containing chemical substances.
