"Super rookie" Kim Min-sol has reached the top of the domestic women's golf circuit after a playoff victory.

By becoming the first player to reach three wins this season, she has taken the lead in the Player of the Year, prize money, and multi-win categories.

Starting the final round in second place, two strokes behind the leader, Kim Min-sol surged to a one-stroke lead at the 14th hole with precise iron shots and a long-distance putt.

She appeared to have the victory in hand, maintaining a two-stroke lead over second place through the 17th hole.

However, after Jung Ye-rim narrowed the gap to one stroke with a birdie on the 18th hole, Kim committed a major error on the final hole.

She missed a short par putt, dropping a stroke and forcing a playoff.

She did not falter again.

In the second playoff hole, she sank a birdie putt from over 3 meters to secure her third win of the season.

Kim, who recorded two wins last year but maintained her rookie status by joining the tour in the second half of the season, has now climbed to the top of the standings in the Player of the Year, prize money, multi-win, and Rookie of the Year categories.
