In the first episode of SBS's 'Match to Marry: With Parents Season 2' (hereafter 'Match to Marry 2') broadcast on June 25, 10 pairs of mothers and their children gathered at a lodging in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, for an exciting first encounter. The premiere recorded a peak rating of 2.8%, signaling a smooth start. In particular, the scene where Lee Kang-hyun actively approached Moon Sung-mo during their very first meeting, leaving Moon Sung-mo's mother utterly shocked, claimed the "best minute" of the episode (based on Nielsen Korea's metropolitan household ratings).

The broadcast began with the participants sitting at their first matchmaking tables amidst excitement and tension. The clear marriage values of the female participants, revealed through pre-interviews, drew attention. Ahn Do-yoon showed confidence, stating she had saved up all her marriage funds herself. Kim Da-hye set specific conditions, saying that in addition to personality, financial capability, and looks, she hoped her partner would be a Christian. To this, MC Kim Yo-han brought laughter with his realistic advice, saying, "Before getting to know each other, you must clarify your religion first. Otherwise, it's hard to keep the relationship going."

As the male participants made their entrance, the atmosphere in the studio grew even hotter. When the tall and handsome Lee In-kwon appeared, MC Seo Jang-hoon surprised everyone by revealing he personally knew him, sparking curiosity. Kwon Ye-chan, who honestly admitted he looks at physical appearance, and Kim Dong-young, who described his ideal type as someone like his mother, were unveiled one after another.

The highlight of this season occurred when Kwon Ye-chan and his mother entered. As soon as Kim Da-hye's mother saw Kwon Ye-chan and heard his name, she immediately guessed, "He looks like a believer in Jesus." To this, Kim Yo-han joked, "I think you recognized him because his name is Ye-chan (which sounds like 'praising Jesus' in Korean). My name is Yo-han (John), so I'd get a free pass too." Lee Yo-won burst into laughter at the mothers' sharp intuition, saying, "This season has a very unique kind of fun."

In the subsequent first impression vote, joy and sorrow were mixed from the start. Ahn Do-yoon chose Lee In-kwon, Kim Da-hye and Choi Jung-yoon chose Kwon Ye-chan, Yang Ha-yoon chose Kim Dong-young, and Lee Kang-hyun chose Moon Sung-mo. On the other hand, Kang Shin-woo unfortunately became the recipient of zero votes.

A plot twist occurred as the male participants made their choices. Lee In-kwon and Moon Sung-mo went straight for the partners who had chosen them. However, Kwon Ye-chan, who received two votes, chose Choi Jung-yoon. The biggest shock was Kim Dong-young's choice. He chose Choi Jung-yoon over Yang Ha-yoon, who had chosen him, instantly leaving Yang Ha-yoon with zero votes. Watching this, Seo Jang-hoon coldly analyzed, "From Yang Ha-yoon's perspective, this is hard to forgive. There is no way the two of them will connect by the final selection."

The real twist happened after they entered the lodging. Kim Dong-young, who had ignored Yang Ha-yoon, belatedly started paying attention to her. Seeing this, Seo Jang-hoon vented his frustration on behalf of the viewers, saying, "If you were going to do that, you should have chosen her earlier. Why do you care now after not choosing her yourself?"

Inside the lodging, conflicts and romantic interests began to intertwine in earnest. Lee Kang-hyun actively expressed her feelings toward Moon Sung-mo, but this clashed with Moon Sung-mo's previously stated preference that "too active women are overwhelming," creating tension over whether this would turn out to be a blessing or a curse. Meanwhile, as Kang Shin-woo fell for Kim Da-hye, Kang Shin-woo's mother approached Choi Jung-yoon's mother and expressed her desire to become in-laws, signaling the start of differing dreams between parents and children.

'Match to Marry: With Parents Season 2' is a reality dating show where 10 single men and women seeking marriage and 10 mothers wishing to marry off their children live together for 6 days and 5 nights. As the previous season created a fresh sensation by rising to No. 2 on Netflix's Top 10 Series in Korea, Season 2 has raised expectations to the highest level by teasing even hotter flirting, sharper conflicts between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law, as well as mothers and daughters, and even the future appearance of the fathers.

'Match to Marry: With Parents Season 2' airs every Thursday at 9 PM.
