The Hollywood superhero film 'Supergirl' is showing signs of a slump, falling to fourth place at the box office just two days after its release.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater admissions on June 26, 'Supergirl' recorded 14,328 viewers nationwide on June 25, placing it fourth at the box office. The cumulative number of viewers stands at 50,083.

Although it started at second place at the box office on its opening day, June 24, with 34,939 viewers nationwide, it delivered a shocking performance as daily ticket sales dropped to the 10,000 range in just one day.

'Supergirl' is an action blockbuster that follows the story of 'Supergirl,' known as a cosmic troublemaker and a loner, as she faces an absolute evil—the catalyst for a life-changing event—and finds her own true path. It is the first live-action 'Supergirl' film to be released in 42 years, following the 1984 original.

From the early stages of its release, the film has faced mixed reviews regarding its narrative, characters, and action sequences, often being compared to 'Superman.' While the performance of Milly Alcock, who plays the title role, has been received fairly well, critics have pointed out that the villain character lacks charm and presence.

As North American box office performance is crucial, all eyes are now on how the film will fare this weekend.
