Oman, a coastal nation along the Strait of Hormuz, has stated that no tolls will be imposed on vessels passing through the strait.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi said on June 25 (local time) during a meeting in Manama, Bahrain, with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other foreign ministers from the Gulf region, "Any future measures regarding the strait will absolutely not involve the imposition of tolls."

Previously, Iran had claimed that it would collect fees from merchant ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for providing services such as safety, navigation, environmental protection, and insurance.
