As cold air moves in from the north, heavy showers have been falling in various parts of the country since yesterday afternoon (June 25).

Most of these showers are expected to taper off by early this morning.

However, some areas in Gangwon, North Chungcheong, and the Yeongnam region may see lingering rain until this morning, and additional showers are expected in some places this afternoon.

Nationwide, skies will gradually clear starting this morning.

With the clearing skies, temperatures will rise again during the day.

Looking at the morning temperatures, Seoul will start at 18°C (64°F) and Daegu at 19°C (66°F), which is slightly lower than yesterday.

However, daytime highs will climb significantly, rising by 2 to 6 degrees compared to yesterday, with Seoul and Gwangju reaching 30°C (86°F) and Daegu reaching 29°C (84°F).

Sunny weather is expected to continue into next week, with scorching heat exceeding 30°C (86°F) forecast for this weekend.

Rain is expected on Jeju Island next Wednesday.

There is a possibility that this year's summer monsoon season could begin on that day.
