Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and head of Iran's ceasefire negotiation delegation, has refuted claims by the U.S. that Iran would use unfrozen funds to purchase American agricultural products.

On June 25 (local time), Ghalibaf wrote on social media, "The U.S. only exports genetically modified (GMO) soybeans, broken promises, and nonsense."

Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Iran would use the unfrozen funds to buy American agricultural goods.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also stated that a significant portion of the unfrozen Iranian funds would be used to purchase American food and medicine.
