In Group B, Switzerland defeated Canada to advance to the Round of 32 as the top team in the group. Switzerland's 20-year-old rising star, Manzambi, delivered another brilliant performance for the second consecutive match.

Canada and Switzerland, who had already secured their spots in the Round of 32 with one win and one draw each, engaged in a fierce battle for first place in Group B, marked by intense physical play and a flurry of yellow cards.

Switzerland broke the deadlock right at the start of the second half.

Vargas scored the opening goal with a right-footed shot, connecting on a cross from Manzambi, who had scored multiple goals in the previous match.

The 20-year-old prodigy Manzambi, who has emerged as one of the tournament's brightest stars, took matters into his own hands in the 12th minute of the second half.

He received a pass from Embolo that slipped through a defender's legs and fired a powerful right-footed shot into the net. With this goal, his third of the tournament, he scored in two consecutive matches and joined the race for the Golden Boot.

Switzerland conceded a goal to Canada's David in the 31st minute of the second half, but they successfully fended off the opponent's late offensive surge to secure a 2-1 victory. With two wins and one draw, they advanced to the Round of 32 as the group winners.

Canada, finishing with one win, one draw, and one loss, advanced to the Round of 32 in second place, edging out Bosnia and Herzegovina—which defeated Qatar 3-1—on goal difference.

Canada will face South Africa, the team that defeated our national squad, in the Round of 32 on the 29th.
