Five additional South Korean vessels that had been stranded inside the Strait of Hormuz have successfully passed through the strait.

There are 21 South Korean crew members on board these ships.

Of the five vessels, one is heading to South Korea, while the other four are moving to other countries.

With the passage of these five ships, the number of South Korean vessels remaining inside the Strait of Hormuz has decreased to 13.

The total number of South Korean crew members currently in the strait is 87, including 33 who are serving on foreign-flagged vessels.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries stated that, with the exception of the Namu-ho, which is undergoing repairs due to an attack, the remaining vessels are also preparing for transit in accordance with consultations with relevant countries and their own plans. The ministry added that it will continue to support safe passage by providing updates and information regarding transit conditions.
