Former Democratic Party of Korea leader Jung Cheong-rae met with former President Moon Jae-in today (June 24) for his first public appearance after resigning from his post to seek re-election.

Following his final Supreme Council meeting at the National Assembly, Jung visited the Seoul International Book Fair held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, this afternoon, where he spoke with the former president for about 10 minutes.

Regarding their conversation, Jung said, "(Former President Moon) said many things, and since he knew I had resigned today, he just patted me on the back warmly."
