The United States and Iran have reached a "peace deal," with an official signing ceremony scheduled to take place in Switzerland on June 19, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has been mediating the talks, announced on June 15 local time.

Prime Minister Sharif stated on X that day, "Both sides have declared an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon."

He further added, "Following the conclusion of the agreement, the mediating countries plan to arrange a series of meetings this week."
