Ukraine is intensifying its psychological warfare, repeatedly challenging Russia's pride.

Following an open letter that directly targeted Russian President Vladimir Putin's aging and fatigue, Ukraine has now released footage showing Russian military equipment being helplessly struck by Ukrainian drones.

According to the Kyiv Independent on June 8 (local time), the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) of Ukraine posted a video on social media the previous day, showing the destruction of Russian logistics and air defense systems.

The footage captures Russian air defense missile systems, medical facilities, and warehouses being hit by drones in Russian-occupied territories, including Crimea, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia.

One drone was seen colliding head-on with an oncoming locomotive.

The Ukrainian military explained that railway infrastructure in Russian-occupied areas was among the targets.

This drone footage appears intended to showcase Ukraine's medium-to-long-range unmanned strike capabilities.

Long-range drone technology is considered a "game changer" that has recently allowed Ukraine to turn the tide of the war.

According to an analysis by AFP based on data from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), a U.S.-based think tank, the Ukrainian military has recaptured 282 square kilometers of territory as of last month, even when accounting for lost areas.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also flaunted Ukraine's long-range drone technology in an open letter sent to President Putin on June 4.

Referring to a recent attack in St. Petersburg, Russia, he stated, "As you well know, this distance is not the limit of our capabilities."

Analysts suggest that Ukraine, having gained an advantage on the battlefield, is now taking a step further by attempting to rattle Russia through psychological warfare.

The drone strike video released on June 7 featured EDM-style background music, which heightened the sense of urgency.

The video also increased viewer immersion by intercutting file photos and footage of the targets.

Although President Zelenskyy's open letter was ostensibly aimed at proposing a summit, analysts believe it was effectively designed to provoke Russia's war fatigue.

In the letter, President Zelenskyy portrayed Russia as a weak nation dependent on North Korea and China.

He also specifically pointed to the "advanced age" of the 74-year-old Putin.

Clashes between the two sides have intensified again since Russia's Victory Day (commemorating the victory in World War II) early last month.

According to local authorities on both sides, a Russian attack in the Zaporizhzhia region on June 7 left five people dead and 14 injured.

In Crimea, a passenger train was reportedly hit by a Ukrainian attack, resulting in the death of an assistant engineer.

The Ukrainian military stated that it had struck an oil depot in Crimea.
