Park Joon-geum clarified the rumors about her being born with a "golden spoon."
On the May 31 broadcast of SBS's "My Little Old Boy," the show followed the cast members as they visited the home of actress Park Joon-geum.
During the episode, Park Joon-geum drew attention by revealing her home. After seeing her glamorous decor and extravagant wardrobe, her juniors brought up the rumors of her being born with a "golden spoon."
In response, Park Joon-geum began by saying, "We weren't a wealthy family when I was young. My mother said that when she got married, they had nothing but actual spoons in the house."
She continued, "Then, my mother's health deteriorated. After she passed away, my father started making a lot of money. So, his daughters got to enjoy that luxury instead."
Park Joon-geum then surprised everyone by sharing an anecdote about her father: "One day, my father threw a car key at me and told me to go out to the parking lot. When I went outside, the famous angular Grandeur was sitting there. I received an angular Grandeur as a birthday gift."
She went on to share another story. "My father was originally from Gyeongsang Province, but because he had no way to make a living, he left his first love behind and moved to Chuncheon. That's where he met my mother, who was from Chuncheon," she said.
Park Joon-geum shocked everyone by revealing, "My father had a separate first love. I heard her name was Geum-*. I only found out about his first love after my mother passed away. But when I was born, I supposedly looked just like his first love, so he put the character 'Geum' in my name."
Meanwhile, the episode also drew attention by showcasing a virtually generated photo of a future daughter for Jung Suk-yong, who recently got married. A virtual daughter photo for his close friend, Im Won-hee, was also revealed.
To this, Jung Suk-yong brought laughter by saying, "As expected, I feel an instant connection to my daughter. Is Won-hee's daughter supposed to look like him? But why is she so cute?"
