DAY6 DOWOON Breaks Silence on Dating & Marriage Rumors with YouTuber Yoo Ji-yu

Band DAY6 member DOWOON has personally shared his feelings for the first time since dating and marriage rumors with YouTuber Yoo Ji-yu surfaced.

In the early morning of May 28, DOWOON posted on his Instagram Story, "Our team will never disappear, no matter what," adding, "I'm not going anywhere. Don't even look at the bad posts, and for the time being, please ignore any posts about me even if you see them. I'm sorry for hurting you guys. Just wait a little bit."

Recently, dating rumors involving DOWOON and YouTuber Yoo Ji-yu have quickly spread online.

The rumors were sparked by claims that the interior design of their homes, props, and suspected couple items—such as keyrings and perfumes—were similar. Speculation also grew that a dog in a photo posted by DOWOON's acquaintance was Yoo Ji-yu's pet. On top of this, eyewitness accounts claiming the two had consulted with a wedding planner began to circulate, escalating the dating rumors into marriage rumors.
In response, their agency, JYP Entertainment, stated on May 26, "We have no specific position."

DOWOON, who had remained silent for about two days, drew attention by directly posting on social media to message his fans. In particular, his statement, "Our team will never disappear, no matter what," seems to dismiss concerns about him leaving the group or the band disbanding, which had been raised by some fans following the dating and marriage rumors.

Yoo Ji-yu, the subject of DOWOON's dating rumors, is an influencer who runs a YouTube channel with approximately 190,000 subscribers. She is also known as the younger sister of Yoo Hye-ju, a popular YouTuber and former "ulzzang."
