Mukbang creator Tzuyang has donated approximately 52 million KRW to support mangrove restoration projects and local community aid in Indonesia.

On May 15, the international relief and development NGO World Vision announced, "Tzuyang has delivered donations and clothing to support climate action and local communities in Indonesia." Tzuyang, who visited Indonesia on April 11, donated a total value of approximately 52 million KRW (about 600 million IDR), which includes both monetary support and clothing from her brand, 'Gardens'.

The donation will be used for the 'Mangrove Restoration and Agroforestry Capacity Building Project' currently being conducted by World Vision in the region. This project aims to address coastal erosion and climate change through mangrove forest restoration, while also supporting the livelihood recovery and self-reliance of local residents.

Tzuyang personally visited the World Vision project site in Jakarta, Indonesia, to inspect the mangrove restoration area and spent time interacting with local children and residents.

"I wanted to give back to my Indonesian subscribers, who have shown me the second most love after those in Korea," Tzuyang said. "After visiting the mangrove project site in person, I realized that these forests are not just trees, but play a crucial role in protecting the lives of local residents and the climate."

She added, "I hope this donation provides practical help to the residents, beyond just environmental protection."

Previously, Tzuyang has consistently engaged in charitable activities, including a 100 million KRW donation to World Vision in 2024 to commemorate reaching 10 million YouTube subscribers.

World Vision President Cho Myung-hwan stated, "Tzuyang's donation is a meaningful example of supporting both climate crisis response and local community self-reliance simultaneously," adding, "We will continue to create sustainable change together with various partners."

Meanwhile, content featuring Tzuyang's activities in Indonesia is scheduled to be released on her YouTube channel on May 17.
