Mise-en-scène
The teaser trailer and stills for the 22nd Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival, directed by actor and director Koo Kyo-hwan and featuring Kim Taeri and Son Suk-ku, have been released.

As the only genre-focused short film festival in Korea and a key gateway for emerging directors and actors who will lead the future of the Korean film industry, the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival has officially kicked off by releasing a teaser trailer on its official channels, packed with genre-based imagination and stylish flair.

This trailer was produced by 2X9, directed by Koo Kyo-hwan, and stars Kim Taeri and Son Suk-ku. Following his appearance as an actor in the 21st Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival trailer directed by Um Tae-hwa last year, Koo Kyo-hwan takes on the roles of producer and director this year, showcasing his deep affection for filmmaking and the festival.

Additionally, the chemistry between Kim Taeri, who participated as an honorary judge last year, and Son Suk-ku, who is collaborating with the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival for the first time through this trailer, is highly anticipated.
Mise-en-scène
Despite its short 16-second runtime, the released teaser trailer leaves a vivid impression of the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival's unique genre thrills and experimental style through rhythmic editing, bold visuals, and witty settings. The sight of Kim Taeri nodding to the beat, combined with stylish typography and fast-paced editing, boldly highlights the free-form nature of short films.

Furthermore, the copy, "<The Best Audience> Full version out May 7," adds an unpredictable twist to the video's kitschy mood, heightening curiosity for the full version.

The accompanying stills also stimulate diverse imagination through their visuals and atmosphere alone. The image of Son Suk-ku with his hat pulled low, the gaze of Kim Taeri staring at the screen, and the back view of the two characters inside the theater create a genre-film mood even in these brief images, sparking curiosity. The full version of this Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival trailer will be released on May 7 (Thursday) and can also be seen in theaters as the opening video during the festival.

This year's festival will be held for a total of six days from June 18 to 23 at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall.
