56-Year-Old Actor Park Dong-bin, Known as the 'Juice Man,' Passes Away at 56

Park Dong-binActor Park Dong-bin (real name Park Jong-moon) has passed away. He was 56.

According to the Pyeongtaek Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on the 30th, the late actor was found dead at a restaurant in Jangan-dong, Pyeongtaek, at approximately 4:25 PM on the 29th. An acquaintance discovered him and reported it to the police. It was reported that there were no signs of foul play or a suicide note found at the scene.

The location where he was found is known to be a restaurant he was preparing to open, which has added to the sorrow surrounding his passing.

Born in 1970, Park Dong-bin debuted in the 1996 film 'Ginkgo Bed.' He went on to appear in numerous projects, including the films 'Shiri' and 'Taegukgi,' as well as dramas such as 'Rustic Period,' 'Immortal Admiral Yi Sun-sin,' and 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal,' showcasing his powerful acting. He gained the affectionate nickname "Juice Man" after a scene in the 2012 MBC drama 'It Was Love,' where his character spat out the juice he was drinking upon hearing the secret of his daughter's birth, which became a major viral sensation online.

The late actor married fellow actress Lee Sang-yi in 2020, and they have one daughter together. In 2024, he appeared on Channel A's 'Dr. Oh's Golden Clinic,' where he shared his story of becoming a father later in life at 54 and revealed his deep paternal love while discussing his daughter's congenital heart disease.

The funeral parlor has been set up at the VIP Room 5 of the Domin Funeral Home in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. The funeral procession is scheduled for 8:30 AM on May 1, and he will be laid to rest at Woosung Park Cemetery.
