Former T-ARA Member Ryu Hwayoung to Marry In September: "We've Chosen to Be Each Other's Everything"

Actor Ryu Hwayoung, formerly of girl group T-ARA, is getting married this September.

On April 1, Ryu announced the news directly on her social media. “Thank you so much for the greater-than-expected interest and the warm congratulations. I’d be grateful if you continued to watch over our journey with warmth,” she wrote. She added, “With excitement and certainty, we’ve decided to walk the same path. We’ve chosen to be everything to each other. We’re getting married on September 12, 2026.”

A photo shared alongside the announcement shows the couple spending time together over wine, drawing attention.

Ryu’s fiancé is reportedly a businessman three years her senior. The two met through a mutual acquaintance and grew into a couple, ultimately deciding to marry based on deep trust and affection. The wedding will be a private ceremony in Seoul with only both families and close friends in attendance.

After her time with T-ARA, Ryu transitioned to acting and has built her filmography through various projects. She recently wrapped filming on her next work and is expected to continue her activities after the wedding.
