Actor Lee Byung-hun hosted a Japan fan meeting for the first time in three years, proving the power of the Hallyu wave is still intact.
From March 28 to 30, Lee held “LEE BYUNG HUN FANMEETING 2026 - ROADMAP” at Nissho Hall in Tokyo, spending three special days with fans.
Built around the message “Life Is a Journey, And You’ve Always Been There,” the event traced Lee’s last three years through a “world travel” concept. The program followed the real path of his activities, moving from Seoul to LA, New York, Toronto, Venice, and Tokyo.
Opening the show by singing on stage, Lee said, “It feels like a dream to meet you again after so long. I’ve been busy these past three years, but I was always waiting for this moment.”
During the talk segment, he shared candid behind-the-scenes stories and episodes from Netflix’s "Squid Game" Seasons 2 and 3, as well as the film "No Other Choice." Framing his experiences around the keyword “travel,” he spoke honestly about his worries and growth as an actor―and as a person―earning big cheers from the crowd.

Interactive corners with fans, VCR segments, a “thank-you letter” segment, and a hi-bye event made the experience even more meaningful for attendees.
Lee said, “The love and smiles you send me always stay vivid in my heart like a photo. The energy you gave me this time will be a great source of strength. I hope we can look back on today even 10 years from now. Please stay healthy and happy.”
Lee Byung-hun has also confirmed his role in a new Disney+ original series, "The Koreans," where he plays North Korean spy Kim Myung-joon.
