On ‘Whenever Possible,’ the “three dads” squad―Yoo Jae-suk, Park Hae-soo, and Lee Hee-joon―bond over real-life parenting talk.
On the March 31 broadcast of SBS’s ‘Whenever Possible,’ actors Park Hae-soo and Lee Hee-joon join co-hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok as special guests, serving up healing conversation vibes in Ssangmun-dong.
The trio quickly finds common ground swapping stories about their kids. Park Hae-soo and Lee Hee-joon are both dads to sons, ages 6 and 8. When Lee jokes, “We both have boys, so we’re confident when it comes to gaming,” veteran dad Yoo Jae-suk lights up in agreement.
Their parenting chat gets real. “My son just started elementary school, and I got so emotional at the entrance ceremony,” Lee shares. Yoo responds, “You cry at their entrance and graduation ceremonies,” fully relating. Park and Lee widen the convo to the early days of group life at school, while Yoo adds, “Kids make you proud and moved by the smallest things,” tapping right into new-dad feelings.
Then comes a playful “wife-guy” face-off. Lee recalls, “When my wife and I did a one-month stay in Jeju, she’s a planner and I’m spontaneous, so it was tough.” Yoo advises, “If you don’t listen to your wife, it turns into ‘one month of fighting,’ not ‘one month of living,’” flexing his married-life wisdom. The trio keeps the wife-love flowing. Yoo says, “Wives should really sleep in during the morning.” Park chimes in, “I take my hair dryer outside so I don’t wake her. Anywhere with 220V is my blow-dry spot,” sparking laughs.
When Yoo Yeon-seok looks amazed at their intense married-life talk, Lee adds a survival tip from the married-actor playbook: “You might not know yet since you’re not married, but married actors have no space at home to read scripts. My practice room is the coach’s office at the gym.” Yoo Jae-suk and Park Hae-soo nod along in total agreement.
How far will the “three dads” take their ultra-relatable talk? Catch their non-stop, top-tier banter on ‘Whenever Possible’ on Tuesday, March 31 at 9 p.m. KST.
