Kim Nam-gil Goes for Double Encores ― This Time a 5-Hour Fan Meeting in Seoul

Actor Kim Nam-gil wrapped his 2026 fan meeting “G.I.L” in Seoul with a packed house.

On March 28, Kim hosted the 2026 “G.I.L” fan meeting at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, spending a special night with fans.

He made a roaring entrance and opened with DAY6’s “Time of Our Life.” He then premiered his new song “Running to You,” released two days before the event, with a full band live stage, followed by a photo time and talk about the track―turning the venue into a mini “Singer Kim Nam-gil” showcase.

Part 1 kicked off the fan-participation segment “Naming the Fandom.” Candidates collected in advance via the fan communication platform fromm were presented, and an on-site vote sealed the final pick: “Yedeura,” bringing everyone even closer.

During the “Filmography Talk,” Kim broke down his past characters and activities into the playful keywords “Good Guy,” “Bad Guy,” and “Funny Guy,” keeping the laughs going. He even recreated buzzworthy scenes on the spot and took on the “TWS's OVERDRIVE Challenge,” drawing explosive cheers.

Before Part 2, he surprised the crowd with an unannounced soundcheck event. Opening the second half, he sang Radiohead’s “Creep” and Seo Taiji’s “Heffy End.” In the “G.I.L To You” corner, he serenaded randomly selected audience members, gifting them unforgettable moments.

The stages kept coming. He served up a diverse live set various tracks. After an encore, he even returned for a double encore, weaving through the stage and aisles and turning the night into a full-on concert experience.

Known for a previous fan meeting that ran an eye-popping 5 hours and 40 minutes, Kim went long again―this event clocked in at about 5 hours and 10 minutes, underscoring his extraordinary love for fans.
Showing his overflowing affection once again, Kim said, “Thank you for always being on my side, anytime and anywhere. I’ll keep showing you my best so you can feel proud to support and love me as an actor. I’m happy we can be together. I want us to stay healthy and make many more memories for a long time. Yedeura, I love you,” moving the crowd with his heartfelt message.

Kim Nam-gil will hold fan meetings in Osaka and Tokyo on April 17 and 18.
