Ahn Hyo-seop and Chae Won-bin in ‘Sold Out on You’ go from bickering to slowly slipping into each other’s daily lives.
Premiering Wednesday, April 22 on SBS, the new Wed-Thu rom-com ‘Sold Out on You’ (written by Jin Seung-hee, directed by Ahn Jong-yeon) follows perfectionist “three-job” farmer Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo-seop) and sellout-driven shopping host Dam Ye-jin (Chae Won-bin) as their day-and-night clashes spark unexpected romance. On the 25th, the drama dropped its first teaser, hinting at the duo’s soft-and-sweet chemistry as their feelings come into season.
The teaser opens like a couple’s montage: Matthew Lee and Dam Ye-jin lock eyes with syrupy gazes. Their smiles don’t quit. Just being together has them glowing, and the pink-tinted vibe delivers pure butterflies.
But their first meeting? Anything but cute. After the line, “A perfectionist, three-job farmer meets a sellout-streak shopping host,” the two stare each other down. From the jump, their first impressions are completely tangled.
They even refuse to say each other’s names, sticking to a stiff “Excuse me” as they squabble. Matthew shrugs off Ye-jin’s offered handshake, dodges her at every turn, and blocks her with a firm “no,” leaving Ye-jin utterly baffled.
Still, somewhere along the way, they start to understand where the other is coming from. They share one thing: giving 100% to whatever’s in front of them. That common ground begins to bridge the gap.
Then comes Matthew’s line: “Let’s see each other every day.” It signals a clear shift in his heart. Ye-jin, in turn, promises to hold him close and be on his side. Enemies-to-lovers? We’re watching it happen in real time.
Enter Seo Eric (played by Kim Bum), whose presence turns heads. He greets Ye-jin first and slips into a close conversation with her―right in front of Matthew―setting off a subtle but sharp stare-off. Seo Eric’s moves are poised to add a fresh jolt of tension to Matthew and Ye-jin’s budding romance.
With this first teaser, ‘Sold Out on You’ spotlights the evolving feelings between a perfectionist, multi-job farmer and a sellout-focused shopping host, cranking up anticipation. And with Seo Eric in the mix, a tangled triangle seems likely―promising plenty of twists as the story ripens.
‘Sold Out on You’ premieres Wednesday, April 22 at 9 p.m. on SBS.
