The behind-the-scenes stills of Yoo Yeon-seok from "Phantom Lawyer" are out.
On the 18th, agency King Kong by Starship dropped several BTS photos of Yoo Yeon-seok from SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama "Phantom Lawyer" (written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Cheol-gyu; directed by Shin Joong-hoon), where he plays ghost-seeing attorney Shin I-rang.
In the photos, Yoo Yeon-seok shows off I-rang’s many sides―from sharp suits to laid-back casual looks to a traditional magistrate outfit. He nails I-rang’s reality with a neat lawyer fit, steady delivery, and fiery eyes as the character preps to join a law firm. In contrast, inside I-rang’s imagination he turns on the swagger to play a “made-it” attorney, and when he appears as the county magistrate from the “Arang” legend, his raw scream lays bare I-rang’s fear, bringing out the character’s full dimension.
With just one episode, Yoo Yeon-seok cranked up immersion with can’t-look-away acting. He flipped from a warm, soft-hearted guy to a gangster-spirit possession with a single shift in his eyes, drawing praise. Even blink-and-you-miss-it fantasy cuts became laugh-out-loud moments thanks to his lifelike performance. Anticipation is building for what he’ll bring next in "Phantom Lawyer".
Starring Yoo Yeon-seok, Esom, and Kim Kyung-nam, "Phantom Lawyer" airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m. on SBS.
