Actor-singer Hwang Min-hyun has landed his first magazine cover since being discharged.
Hwang Min-hyun fronts the April issue of Singles and the cover of Singles Japan. The shoot, styled with spring blooms, marks his 15th debut anniversary.
Showing off his refreshing visuals, Hwang opened up about life post-return. In his solo interview, he shared candid thoughts on Wanna One’s reality show "Wanna One Go," slated for April. “When we meet up, it’s like we slip right back to the old days. Amazingly, we haven’t changed,” he said of the group’s reunion after seven years.

He also shared an update on filming "Study Group" Season 2. At a test shoot, the directing team let out gasps, saying, “You just got back after discharge―how do you look exactly the same as Season 1?” Hwang laughed, “I’m glad I kept myself in shape.” Since discharge, he’s dropped 6kg through weights and running, and he hasn’t stopped his acting and vocal lessons.
As for future roles, Hwang mentioned a “Netflix original psychopath killer,” adding, “I’m known for a clean-cut image, but I want to take on diverse transformations.”
His digital single Truth, released last month, carries a heartfelt message to fans. On the making of the track, he said, “Maybe it felt long, but even if we couldn’t be together, we were always together.”
Now 15 years into his career and stepping into his 30s, he was asked what he’d tell himself before that very first stage: “Enjoy it―you’ll make it someday!”

Hwang Min-hyun’s pictorial, full solo interview, and digital content will be released sequentially in the April issue of Singles and on its official website.
