Actor Jung Eun-chae broadened her acting range with ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Honour”.
Playing Kang Sin-jae in the series, which ended on the 10th, Jung showcased rock-solid acting, sharp character insight, and seamless chemistry with her co-stars―proving her strengths on every front.
“Honour” follows three female lawyers as they track down the sex-exploitation app “ConnectIn,” portraying a tightly woven journey of struggle and recovery. Jung’s character, Kang Sin-jae, is the head of women’s crime-victim law firm L&J and heir to a legal family. She is a woman who constantly weighs justice against reality and makes hard choices. To capture Kang Sin-jae’s full arc and appeal, Jung dug into what led the character to each decision―what emotions and resolve sit beneath her calm exterior―and built the role from the inside out.
As a result, Kang Sin-jae became more than someone who simply follows the case―she emerged as a force moving the entire story. Even within restrained expressions, Jung subtly revealed the character’s firm convictions and unwavering stance, giving the role real weight. Her steady gaze, decisive delivery, and finely layered emotional shifts added striking depth, making Kang Sin-jae feel fully three-dimensional. With her thoughtful approach to both the project and the character, Jung expanded her acting spectrum―and viewers responded with enthusiastic praise for a Kang Sin-jae that felt uniquely her own.
Jung also sparked standout synergy with Lee Na-young and Lee Chung-ah, convincingly portraying the friendship and solidarity of three female lawyers. Their dynamic amplified the show’s immersion. Altogether, “Honour” reaffirmed Jung as an actor who not only brings strong acting and character interpretation, but also fortifies the narrative through impactful ensemble work.
After delivering another memorable character in “Honour,” Jung Eun-chae is currently filming SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Flex X Cop 2,” slated to air this year. Anticipation is building for what new sides she will show in the upcoming series.
